WHMIS is Canada’s system for communicating the hazards of products used at work. This online course gives workers the general WHMIS education they need, updated for the 2022 amendments to the Hazardous Products Regulations.
What learners cover:
- The three parts of WHMIS: labels, safety data sheets and training
- Physical and health hazard classes, including the new chemicals under pressure class
- Every WHMIS pictogram and what it means
- Supplier labels, and when a workplace label is needed
- Finding information fast on a 16-section safety data sheet
- Employer and worker rights and responsibilities
Format: self-paced and interactive, with real-world scenarios and a 10-question knowledge check (80% to pass). Learners who pass get a certificate of completion they can download right away, and their score and completion date are kept on file.
