Course Description
When something goes wrong at work, what you do in the first hour and how you find out why decides whether it happens again. This course gives supervisors, safety leads and committee members a clear method: report what Alberta requires, secure the scene, gather evidence, interview witnesses fairly, find the root causes and write a report that leads to real fixes.
You also get three printable forms: an incident investigation report, a witness statement and a corrective action tracker.
- Alberta reporting rules for serious incidents and potentially serious incidents
- Securing and preserving the scene
- Photos, sketches, measurements and records
- Open questions and fair interviews
- Asking why until you reach the root cause
- Corrective actions that last
Online courses are one part of operator training. They don't replace site-specific training, a hands-on practical evaluation or your employer's authorization, and a certificate of completion isn't a licence or proof of competency. See our training disclaimer.
