About us
Practical training, built by people who do it
Training Compliance Canada makes short, interactive online courses for equipment operators and the organizations that employ them. Each course is built to be practical, easy to finish, and backed by a training record you can rely on.
Who we are
From the operator's seat to the classroom
Training Compliance Canada was started by an operator who became a trainer. Our founder spent more than ten years operating equipment before moving into vehicle and equipment training, and has now spent more than seven years instructing and evaluating operators in Alberta.
That work includes more than 400 operator performance evaluations, more than 100 CVSA Level II inspections, collision investigations, Class 3 instruction and running a train-the-trainer program. Today our founder leads a team of 22 Training Officers responsible for vehicle and equipment training for more than 4,000 employees at a large Alberta municipal employer, and designs the training documentation and digital forms that keep that program aligned with Alberta standards.
Training Compliance Canada is an independent business. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any employer, the Government of Alberta or any regulator, and its courses are its own work.
Behind the field experience is formal study of how adults learn: a Certificate in Adult Learning (Workplace Learning) from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge, a Foundational Leadership Certificate from the University of Calgary, and graduate study in the Master of Adult Education program at St. Francis Xavier University.
When online training is not enough, we also deliver in-person equipment operator training by special request.

How courses are built
What goes into every course
Our courses are designed with adult learning principles, not slides with a quiz tacked on the end. Adults learn best when they know why something matters, when new skills build on what they already know, and when training looks like the problems they actually face at work.
So every lesson starts with the reason behind the rule, puts learners in real job scenarios where they have to make the call, and gives feedback right away. Knowledge checks make learners recall the material instead of rereading it, which is one of the most reliable ways to make learning stick, and short modules spread across the workday help skills last longer than one long session.
Short and practical
Short modules that fit into a workday. Spacing learning out helps it stick better than one long session.
Based on real situations
Learners make the call in scenarios drawn from the job, so what they practise carries over to the work.
Built for adult learners
Every lesson starts with why it matters, builds on what operators already know and gives instant feedback.
Tracked and recorded
Knowledge checks that make learners recall, not reread, with scores, dates and certificates kept on file.
